50 years ago, Smallville was protected by one man by the name of Clark Kent. He was found by Jonathon and Martha Kent, who raised him as their own. Little did they know, but the meteor shower that brought Clark to them did strange things to people in the aftershock. Clark grew up and his powers started to evolve, turning into heat vision, x-ray vision, super strength and flying, as well as many others. His friends Cloe and Pete knew about his powers and did everything they could to help. But those days are over. Clark has long since become Superman and is too busy to worry about the little rural town of Smallville. People thought that the "freaks" had dissapeared a long time ago, but they were wrong. People with strange powers started to appear again, all of which were on the bad side of the spectrum. This is forcing those with better powers to come out and fight them, but many are afraid. The only way to stop the rising darkness is for them to band together and stop the villians once and for all! Chose wisely!

It's a scorcher here in Smallville, the rain rarely falls, but when it does, storms break out, and the clouds let loose their load. Crops are ready to be harvested, which means a busy time for farmers.

Sarah walked with her head down, her binder clutched to her chest. It was after school and people busied themselves around her, rushing to their lockers for the weekend. Something strange had happened to her in science, something made her feel strange. Her eyes darted nervously, wondering if anyone had noticed her strange actions, but no one had. She went to her locker and reached to open the lock, her hand melting into the metal, going inside of the locker door without her actually opening it. She stifled a scream and pulled her hand back, looking at it. She quickly opened her locker and looked around, hoping no one had seen her. She shoved her books roughly into the locker, shutting the door. She sighed and was about to lean against the lockers behind her, but thought better of it. She needed to leave. Her eyes were cast to the floor as she walked quickly to the entrance of the school.

Naveen closed her locked loudly and started walk down the hall. She had an absent look on her face until something caught her eye. She froze, what was that? She looked at a girl who was walking away she was older that herself but not much. That wasn't normal she thought as she continued walking keeping the girl in her line of sight. She must of have powers...it has to be that she concluded with a slight smile. She knew it wasn't possible that she wasn't the only one who had powers. She had to meet this person and talk to her. She took a deep breathe as she headed towards the entrance and concentrated on the girl who was only several paces ahead of her. "Don't be afraid but I saw you at your locker and what had happened with your hand...I have powers too!...please lets meet someplace......don't speak just think, I'll hear you, she said telepathically to the girl. She bite her lip hoping the girl wouldn't overreact to the voice she just heard in her head.

Sarah walked on through the halls, her feet picking up speed, so close to the part of the school nearest to where her car was parked.......her little toyota echo. Her sneakers squeaked on the cleaned floors and then......

Don't be AFRAID? Sarah melted into the nearest set of lockers, dissapearing from view, heart racing wildly.
Who are you? She thought. What a weird thing, THINKING what one was going to say. What else should she say, YES to meeting someone who could talk to her through her mind? But........she wasn't the only one...........was this girl in the chem lab like she had been? Was this other girl like herself? Dare Sarah hope that maybe, there WERE others out there? She melted out of the lockers, coming into view once more, turning to see the other girl, meeting her gaze.

Naveen smiled as she caught the girls thought but she had suddenly gone out of view. She stopped walking but within moments the girl came back and was staring directly at her. "My name is Naveen Clover Lansing...but please call be Clover" she told the girls mind. She began walking towards her again and stopped several steps in front of her. "Hi, so what is your name" she asked using her voice this time. Naveen glanced around looking at the people passing them being forced to go around them. "Could we talk......someplace without all these people, please" she asked in a half whisper this time. She bite her lip nervous that she would be told no, she obviously wanted to talk to this girl but what could she do if she was told no?

It was so WEIRD to hear her thoughts, but Sarah responded to the telepathic girl, Clover she said? Sarah talked aloud though, for Clover had spoken to her through vocal means, ah, finally something she KNEW!

My name is Sarah, Sarah Whitney. She stuck out her hand, but she wasn't sure if her new found power would initiate, and withdrew it, biting her lip.

Sarah thought for a moment, then, she remembered that even there, nothing was sacred. Why hide from someone who knew all that you were thinking?

Sarah looked at the thinning halls. Barely any one was around at this time anymore, but they were still here.

BIC: Naveen thought for a moment. She really didn't think about that. She didn't have anywhere to go besides home. "Well, let's get out of here first...would you have a place we could go because I don't really have any Good ideas" she asked sheepishly with a slight smile. She paused and looked around like Sarah did. It would seem weird if they were the last ones. "Let's head out" she said and started for the entrance so she could leave but she paused. "This doesn't creep you out too much..., does it? she asked telepathically becoming suddenly shy. She was use to "speaking" like that afterall her mother is the same way and they would end up going through entire conversations without speaking a word and usually not even take notice to that. It was just normal for her.

Sarah was always slightly shy, why wasn't she now? Maybe because this girl knew everything? Hearing her thoughts, and responding?

What, the fact that we're talking through our minds? Or the whole "super powers" thing, cause if it's the second, I'm really creeped out.
Sarah's binder started to pass through her chest, and she quickly pulled it away. What was WRONG with her? Why was she dissapearing into objects? It wasn't like turning invisable......it was like......she WAS the object she was in, not just walking through it, but BEING it.

"Both",she chuckled at what Sarah said about having super powers but she stopped herself as she witnessed Sarah's breif lapse in control. She continued walking but in her mind she paused. It took her another moment to collect her thought once again. It made her nervous to use her voice when talking about powers so she changed to her powers. "Does that happen often", she asked but another question came to her. "When did you discover your abilites" she asked slightly nervous now. When she found out it creeped her out. Her mother had guided her and taught how to use them but for Sarah it could be different. She might not have someone to help her. While she did.

Sarah used her mind to respond, getting used to this strange way of doing things.
I just got them.....today. A lab accident, musta been.....something.......inside the chemicals, it spilled on me.....and it just......happened.
They exited the school, and Sarah took out her keys, unlocking the drivers side, and pressing the button to allow Clover into her car. She clipt her seatbelt on, and started the echo. She needent ajust anything, for as it was her car, she never had to. No one else used it. The accident earlier seemed so long ago......a past experience.

Naveen climbed into Sarah's car. She was moving but her mind itself paused again. She usually wasn't ever surprised by things but today seemed to be an exception. That seems....odd because I was born this way but only discovered when I was eight....my mother helped me with it, she's the same, she telepathed to Sarah. She let out a sigh in thought. "So where do you want to go" She asked vocally this time. She looked out of the window lost in thought but then she spoke again. "It doesn't seem right, you had to have gotten them gentically...I think" She spoke barely realizing that she was speaking out.

A Shiver still passed through Sarah when Clover spoke to her mind, it just....felt weird, like nothing was private anymore, yet, it was perfectly natural, and it wasn't like she would intrude into Sarah's thoughts ALL the time now.....right? She hoped so.

Her mind heard. And, she responded aloud, for it was more comfortable.
Well, really, I don't know what happened.....maybe I should go to the Torch, maybe some of Chloe's old things are there, for I know they kept some stuff preserved in her memory when she went to Metropolis....maybe, we can find an answer? But not now, we can go to the Talon and talk more. I've heard rumors of others like me, things happening, not genetics....some sort of stone... I...I don't understand it myself.
They came to the street where the Talon was, and Sarah parked her echo on the side, unlocking the doors and unbuckling her seat-belt.

"I never thought...heard of that happening, well my mother was always like this and never imagined, she and I always assumed it was genetics but maybe...well it had to start somewhere...I guess" she said struggling with what to make of that. She had no clue, she just didn't know. She let out a sigh and unbuckled herself. "Let's go inside and yes The Torch is a good idea and...if you don't want me speaking to you telepathically, I won't speak like that and don't worry about privacy, I can keep to myself," she told Sarah with a smile. She had learned personally that some things are better left unheard. She then opened her door and hopped out.
